Mobile clinic with Dissemination of Knowledge –Health on Wheels
Health on Wheels supported by Abbott fund, the basic purpose of the van is to create awareness on HIV/AIDS in the slums through IEC film shows and provide medical services to the poor and needy PLHA and general community. The van was started operation from 1st July 2008 and covered all the urban slums of Vijayawada with Medical Officer, Trained Nurse, Lab technician and driver.

Urban Health Centers
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has appointed VMM as a co-management agency for urban health centers in Vijayawada. VMM is managing four urban Health centers (UHC) in Vijayawada city located at Darsi pet, Krishna Lanka, Prakash Nagar and R.R Pet. Each UHC is having a team of medical and para medical personnel: One Medical Officer, one Community Organizer, two Auxiliary Midwives and two helpers. The UHCs are focused on Maternal and child health. The main activities being done by the UHC is medical treatment and counseling; identification and follow up of pregnant women, promotion of institutional deliveries, immunization, formation of health forums at community level for every 50 households, facilitating monthly meetings, identifying epidemics, notifying to the VMC health authorities, health education in communities and participation local health activities and promotion of small family norm. VMM is monitoring the UHCs and provide administrative support.
Swetcha Gora Eye Bank
Swetcha Gora Eye Bank, Life member of the Eye Bank Association of India established by Vasavya Mahila Mandali, is actively involved in motivating the public for the noble cause of Eye Donation for the last twelve years. With the support of the Ophthalmologists the eye bank has conducted Keratoplasty by collecting   128 Eye Balls and 20 persons were restored Eye Sight and 108 Corneas were utilised for scientific purpose.  8,807 persons pledged their Eyes.
Multi Purpose Health Workers (MPHW) Female Training Institute
The institute recognized by Government of Andhra Pradesh since 2000, to train 40 women/girls in each batch for a period of 18 months as skilled multi purpose health workers.  Besides Academic and Clinical training the computer education, recreation vocational skills and life skills education are continuously provided.
Case study

Improving the Education and Health of Children and Communities in AP
Improving the Education and Health of Children and Communities in AP supported by Big Lottery Fund, U.K through Sanghamitra Service Society Vijayawada. The programme mainly focused on children education and health. The project strengthens the community towards children education and health. The goal is improving the Education and Health of 1095 children and communities in Urban Vijayawada.
Navyata is now in “A” Grade
Navyata is a 14 years old, daughter of Ratnam and Radha who reside at George pet. She is studying 9th class in BSRKMCH School, Mogalraja puram. Her father is Ratnam who is a Car driver but he did not go to the work daily due to some bad habits. Navyata has two younger brothers. Her mother is a house wife, her father does not allow her mother to go out and work, so she decided to sell the saris at home to meet the minimum requirements of the family.
In this situation ASG member of the SEC P.Mariyamma explained to Radha about the services of VMM to school going children under IEHCC project, and advised her to get admitted her daughter in to SEC run by VMM  at  BSRKMCH School the SEC.
 In the early days she was not concentrated on studies, so she did not followed the SEC timings, and not showed much interest on the activities of the SEC. Even she had not written the monthly examinations. At that time she was elected as Finance Minister and given some responsibilities in the Child Parliament. In order to fulfill the responsibilities she started working hard that made her to develop leadership qualities and improve in her education.
As a parliament member she could able to maintain the SEC and gathers the children after school hours. She identified the problems that children are facing in the school especially Midday meals. She succeeded to take the problem to the notice of the school management with the help of other parliament members. After that School Head master has taken a special care in implementation of Midday meals in the school.
She improved the attendance in SEC. In the parliament they passed a resolution to frame the rules and regulations for attendance. She strictly impose the rules in SEC. with the effect all the children attending to the SEC regularly and with in time. She herself also improved in the beginning she is in “B” grade now she is in ‘A’ grade. She improved in cultural activities also she is good singer and Folk dancer.
