VMM Profile
women and adolescent development: Violence against women and girls, education and skill development of girls, micro credit, promotion of traditional handicrafts and fine arts, legal awareness, education and knowledge building among the adolescents and women and shelter homes for girls and women in difficult circumstances.  VMM focus on building self confidence among women to face the crisis in life and to cope with the situation and to plan for a better life.

Human Rights: All the programmes of VMM are rights based. In addition to the above focused programmes, VMM do work for rehabilitation of torture victims by law enforcing agencies, de-silting irrigation tanks and geriatric care through ‘grannies clubs’ and old age homes.

Partnerships with civil society organizations

VMM is working with a network of 61 partners with 83 project contracts. VMM works with both NGOs and CBOs. VMM partnered with Telugu Network of positive people (TNP+) through 23 District level positive networks in A.P.

  • International HIV/AIDS Alliance / India HIV/AIDS Alliance, supported by Abbott Fund USA since 2001 for Home/Community based HIV/AIDS Care and Support Programme and SR to Alliance for CHAHA programme supported by Global Fund from 2007.

  • Education Development Centre Inc for improving the education and knowledge building of the children affected, living with HIV/AIDS and street children supported by Deutsch Bank Asia Foundation since 2005.
  • Clinton Foundation for Clinton Pediatric HIV/AIDS initiatives since 2006
  • Family Health International , Care India and Clinton Foundation for Balasahyoga since 2008
  • National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) for reduction of Stigma and Discrimination supported by UNDP since 2009

  • Human Resource: VMM employs qualified and efficient accountants and senior staff holds a variety of post-graduate academic and managerial qualifications ranging from human rights, NGO management, health communications, social work, sociology, psychology and medical and have strong teams to manage community based programmes and research projects. VMM works with 182 paid staff full time besides part time and in addition to 15 honorary advisors.
